2020 CCSG Meeting Canceled

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

We are writing to let you know that the 2020 China Christianity Studies Group (CCSG) meeting - originally scheduled for Friday, March 20 in conjunction with the Association for Asian Studies (AAS) conference - has been canceled.

After much deliberation, we decided that due to the increasing spread of the coronavirus and related disruptions to AAS and CCSG members' travel plans, it would be best not to hold the meeting this year. We sincerely apologize for any trouble this may have caused.

We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Daryl Ireland and Dr. Eugenio Menegon for all of their hard work and thoughtfulness in preparing to host our meeting at Boston University. They worked very closely with us to plan this event and to also think through the difficult decision to cancel it. We are all deeply disappointed about the situation, but felt that the developing circumstances unfortunately warranted this course of action.

We look forward to reconvening at next year's AAS, and will keep in touch regarding these plans. In the interim, we wish you all health and safety in these challenging times.

Joseph W. Ho (Albion College)
Director, CCSG

Nathan Faries (Bates College)
